Free school meals

Free school meals, milk and clothing grants are available to families

All children in primary 1 to 3 receive free school meals automatically. Low-income families with children in any year can be eligible for free school meals, milk and a school clothing grant to help with buying school clothes for their children.

You need to apply to receive free milk or a clothing grant. You can check if you match the conditions to claim free school meals on the Scottish Government website, if you match the criteria you will also qualify for free milk and a clothing grant.
