Place2Be
Place2Be is a children and young people’s mental health charity with almost 30 years’ experience working with pupils, families and staff in UK schools.
You can find out all about the services that Place2Be provides to children and families here.
There are useful suggestions on how families can support children here.
Place2Be has worked in hundreds of schools over 30 years, offering advice and support to parents and carers of thousands and thousands of children. They have developed a smart phone app with dozens of questions and tips and suggestions – the sort of questions that many, many parents have asked Place2Be in the past. It’s called Parenting Smart and you can find it here. If you want to download it to your own smartphone, there are leaflets in the school with QR download links.
Place2Be has been at Balgreen for nearly 25 years, and has helped hundreds of children and their families. One important way that children can ask for help for themselves (or for a friend) is to request an appointment with a Place2Be staff member during break or lunch times. Last year nearly 130 children at Balgreen used this service.
Visit our Place2Talk page for more information about you agreeing to your child to be able to request Place2Talk appointments.
If you have any questions about the Place2Be service and how it may be helpful to you or your family, please ask a member of staff or get in touch with Nick Ball, Place2Be School Project Manager at Balgreen on nick.ball@place2be.org.uk
