Balgreen's Got Talent

4th May 2023

After a 4 year hiatus, Balgreen's Got Talent is back for 2023!

This is a really exciting opportunity for children to showcase their wider achievements and for us as a school to celebrate their many skills and talents. Children's wider achievements are considered part of the Scottish Curriculum and we would welcome as many pupils to get involved as possible.

Talents may include: singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, reciting a poem, cultural performances, magic tricks, card tricks, football tricks, martial arts, tricks with rubix cube, beatboxing, majorettes, acting, cheerleading, juggling, jokes, skipping tricks and anything else you can think of!

We would like to invite pupils from throughout the school to share their talent at an “audition”, which will be judged by the Pupil Council in collaboration with Mrs Palmer. The selected acts will go through to a “final” which will take place on Thursday 1st June, 6:30pm. Pupils can enter the competition as an individual or as part of a group. We ask that pupils enter one act per person to the competition.

Auditions will take place during the school day on Thursday 18th May. Your child should come ready to perform their talent, bringing any necessary props / music / instruments / equipment.  If they are using a backing track, it can be emailed to the school admin email account admin@balgreen.edin.sch.uk

If your child would like to take part in this fun competition, please could you support them by helping them to prepare. We would like to see a high standard of acts and recognise that some children may need help to access backing tracks / practice their routine / have the right equipment.

Thank you for your support with this event.
