Return to School & Week 1 PE timetable
We are very excited to be welcoming back everyone tomorrow. Staff have been working hard to get classes ready with the school being closed for most of the holidays. Some trees were removed from Pansy Walk by the gate over the holidays and we have had parts of the playground repaired in the P3-7 area.
Attached is a PE timetable for this week with classes getting a shorter block, there will be a new timetable posted starting from next week. We would encourage pupils to wear PE kit to school on the day they have PE.
We intend to use our astro for PE as much as we can so are planning for it to be outdoors in these warmer months. Please dress appropriately for the weather- if it is sunny then shorts/leggings and t-shirts are ideal, however if it is cloudier or cooler then joggers and hoodies are recommended. On days when classes have outdoor learning pupils should not wear school uniform but clothes that can get muddy. The woods look amazing at the moment and we are looking forward to getting back outdoors with classes.
Some of you have contacted the school to ask if pencil cases can be sent into school. They can. Feel free to send in pencil cases with stationery in them for your child to use, or we can provide any pens/pencils that pupils need if required. The choice is yours. We would prefer though these pencil cases remain in school though rather than coming backwards and forwards each day.
We will send out more information tomorrow about our revised COVID procedures now that we are in Tier 0 and gradually relaxing the procedures we have had in place. We still need you to socially distance from other adults when in the playground, please wear a mask when in the playground and please keep your child at home if they have any of the COVID symptoms.
We remind you that P1, P3, P5 and P7 start tomorrow at 8.50am, while P2, P4 and P6 start at 9.05am. For pupils who have siblings starting at 8.50am but their class begins at 9.05am they can be dropped off at the back door to the gymhall where they will be supervised until their classes start.
We look forward to meeting you in the playground and at the school gates over the coming weeks.
