Rose Day Celebrations
As the end of term is fast approaching, we would like to let you know about our Rose Day Celebrations.
On Tuesday 27th June, pupils and staff of Balgreen Primary School will gather for an end of term celebration at Saughton Park Bandstand (weather dependent). Rose Day is a long-standing Balgreen tradition. The name Rose Day, comes from the school's proximity to the Rose Garden at Saughton Park. During the gathering, we celebrate being part of Balgreen Primary School and share successes and achievements of P7 pupils before they move on to high school. Certificates and prizes are awarded.
P7 parents are invited to attend the event, followed by a Rose Day tea, back at school for P7 pupils and their parents. It is a lovely way to celebrate the end of term for all pupils, as well as the end of primary school for P7s.
Pupils from P1 - P6 can wear a rose pinned to their school uniform if they would like, while P7s are gifted a rose from the school.
Please can you donate cakes and traybakes for the afternoon tea, on the afternoon of Monday 26th June or morning of Tuesday 27th June.
