Start Times for Balgreen Primary

Below is a table with the starting times and end times for P2-7 classes from Wednesday 18th August. Primary 1 classes have separate times Wednesday/Thursday this week that were issued before the holidays. 

With COVID guidance seeing a gradual relaxing of the need for bubbles we are moving classes to stage bubbles that will see both classes at each stage entering the school at the same time eg. P3a and P3b will now start at the same time of 8.50am. 

Bringing in year groups at the same time will allow pupils in that year group to have the same break and lunch time together. We plan to run with this for five weeks then review the times again. We intend to gradually increase the number of classes in the playground in a way that children will be able to manage. They were in class bubbles all of last year so we plan to increase classes into the playground in a phased way that will ensure we continue to support all pupils and minimise any anxiety or stress when back at school with other children out with their class bubble.

We hope this all makes sense. More communication will be issued later on this week to let you know what has changed here at Balgreen since pupils were last in school. We still need you to wear masks in the playground please and socially distance.
