P1 Christmas Party
We are hoping that all the children have been good enough for Santa to make a guest appearance at our P1 party on Thursday 15th December. The children can come to school that day dressed in party outfits.

Once again, we are hoping that all the children have been good enough for Santa to make a guest appearance at our P2 party on Wednesday 14th December. The children can come to school that day dressed in party outfits.

Milk Payments 19.12.2022 - 27.01.2023
Please be aware that Mid Morning Milk Payments for the period 19.12.2022 until 27.01.2023 go live tomorrow. If you wish your child to have milk during this period please pay £6.00 via ParentPay. Bookings close at 10.00pm on 14.12.2022. Unfortunately, no late bookings can be accommodated. If your child is entitled to free milk, a carton will be ordered for them.

Primary 7 Fundraisers - Cafe and Calendars
Primary 7 will be running a Christmas Café on Tuesday 6th of December in order to raise money for end of term events. We would appreciate if anyone could contribute any donations of home baking for us to sell at the café. Please deliver any cake donations to Primary 7 on Monday 5th or the morning of Tuesday 6th of December at the latest with any relevant dietary information included. Active Schools Term 2
Please find attached the Active Schools Term 2 club booklet. The website opens TOMORROW (Wednesday 30th November). To book on please click on the link provided for each club. Bookings close on the 14th December so please ensure you book on before then to secure your child’s place.

Christmas Events
Please find attached the calendar for our Christmas Events. Once again, we are grateful to Aegon for supporting many of these events. Further information about ordering tickets for the P3 Nativity and P1-7 Christmas Song Concerts will be sent home tomorrow. Please check your child’s school bags.

Storytime P3
As you will be aware, P3s have launched their new reading for enjoyment incentive - Balgreen Storytime. The bookcase will be available at the start and end of each day. Attached is some more information about this wonderful resource as well as a list of benefits of regular reading with your child. Happy reading! Attached is a communication from the authority regarding the industrial action. This letter confirms that Balgreen Primary will be closed on Thursday 24th November.

Balgreen PS Book Week Scotland/ Wear what you want day
Monday 14th marks the start of Book Week Scotland and will see pupils at Balgreen Primary School undertake a range of activities to promote a love of reading. Monday Outdoor Learning Workshops
Classes in Primary 1 to Primary 4 will be taking part in Outdoor Learning workshops on Monday 7th November. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for being outdoors i.e. waterproof and warm clothes.
